The death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter protests have brought about a renewed interest in the work of the iconic James Baldwin. Told entirely in the words of James Baldwin, the film touches on the lives of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr, and Medgar Evers to bring powerful clarity to the image and reality of how being black in America today is fabricated and enforced. Narrated by Samuel L Jackson. Members of the Somerset African Caribbean Network will introduce the film and lead a post-film discussion. Join us for Black History Month.
