WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA?
In September 1947, Bridgwater Arts Centre hosted an historic international conference which brought together leading architects, urbanists and writers including Le Corbusier, Walter Gropius (founder of the Bauhaus), Erno Goldfinger, Jane Drew and Maxwell Fry: the first post-war Congrès International d’Architecture Moderne (CIAM). To mark the 70th anniversary, CIAM 6 Cities Reimagined will tell the story of this hidden, though significant, event through workshops, an exhibition and conference – exploring art, architecture and urban design history. Your chance to think big about Bridgwater.
Like & Share: It’s hard to imagine the complexities of organising an event like CIAM 70 years ago, when meetings were scheduled by post and telegram. Our introduction to social media for adult learners will highlight the capabilities of online and digital communications today and help you take your first steps in worlds of WordPress, Pinterest and Instagram. Think Big in Bridgwater! Part of the www.ciam6.co.uk project, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the CIAM international architecture and design conference held at the Arts Centre in 1947.
