An open storytelling and story sharing night to start at the Bridgwater Arts Centre
Our topic for March 8th is Equinox:
March Equinox (or Northward Equinox as it is also known) traditionally marks the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring.
Plenty of scope there for your ideas to flourish.
If you are unsure about sharing your own work, you are very welcome to just come and listen.
An audience is always lovely.
Heads and Tales is an inclusive monthly night at the ever growing Bridgwater Arts Centre. Led by local storyteller Eltjo de Vries and writer in residence Sinead Gillespie, ‘Heads and Tales’ gives aspiring storytellers, writers, poets and spoken words artists the chance to showcase their work. For those who don’t want to go in front of an audience, Sinead or Eltjo will read the piece.
Artistic director Kate Goodale says ‘there is a such a growing scene in the storytelling and spoken word world, plus this area is really rich with writers and the Arts Centre is all about supporting local creativity. Our BACroom bar is really cosy, so it seems the perfect setting for a night to have a glass or two for wine while listening to people sharing their creativity!’
Heads Tales will take place every 2nd Thursday of the month. £2 entry. Each piece should be roughly 5 minutes long. If you want to secure a slot, please email Kate: firstname.lastname@example.org
